Based on the premise that everyone could use a good laugh and that laughter heals - some among us could benefit from a little more laughter.
Cinema & Drafthouse Charities is proud to produce two free monthly comedy shows for our wounded heroes at Walter Reed Army Medical Hospital and for the young patients at Children Hospital.
The free show at the Walter Reed Army Medical Hospital we will feature National and Local Comics. The comics will perform a free group show at the Hospital and will also go room to room to greet and entertain the soldiers unable to attend in person.
The free show for the young patients at Children’s Hospital will feature our family friendly entertainers. They will perform their act for a large group of children and will also go room to room to greet and entertain the children unable to attend the show.
Please help us share the joy and healing power of laughter with our heroes and children that could benefit from “A Good Laugh”!
Donations will go towards paying the entertainer’s their charitable discounted rate for their services, and any potential production costs (sound and lights) necessary for a show.
