Byron Temple, a retired character actor (Wil Love) with diagnosed dementia, longs to perform at his beloved summer theater one last time. Against his daughter’s wishes (Dendrie Taylor), he accepts a role from the newly installed artistic director (David Deluise) who is unaware of Byron's condition.
John Putch - Writer/Producer/Director
Son of the late actress Jean Stapleton and theater producer William Putch, John Putch is often referred to as an independent film “real McCoy”. TV directing includes: "Blackish", "Rush Hour", "The Middle", "Body Of Proof", "Scrubs", "Cougar Town", "My Name Is Earl", "Ugly Betty", "Grounded For Life", "Outsourced", and multiple television movies and mini-series. One of his first indie efforts, "Valerie Flake," landed him at the '99 Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award. Experienced in both Drama and Comedy, John’s other notable films include the cult indie favorites: BACHELORMAN, MOJAVE PHONE BOOTH and the ROUTE 30 TRILOGY films.
