The owners of the Arlington Cinema 'N' Drafthouse (Voted the Best Movie Theater
in the DC Area) are expanding their award winning and acclaimed movie and
entertainment concept to a 32,000 sq foot theater complex
located at Westfields Shoppingtown Wheaton complex just north of downtown
Silver Spring. The centrally located new 6-Theater
Entertainment Complex, located in the Wheaton
neighborhood of Silver Spring in Montgomery County
is a very short distance from Potomac, Rockville, Bethesda, North Bethesda,
Kensington, Chevy Chase, Olney, Beltsville, Laurel, Burtonsville, College Park,
NW Washington DC and Downtown Washington DC. The Montgomery Cinema ‘N’
Drafthouse is easily accessible with plenty of parking as well as being walking

 The Drafthouse features a full restaurant and bar menu
with table-side service inside
each theater. The seating is comfortable and spacious. Full restaurant and bar
service inside a movie theater or live entertainment theater makes for an
exceptional entertainment experience. An event at the Drafthouse is a unique
and premium night out. In addition to weekly special entertainment like
Wine Tastings hosted by the Washington Wine
Academy and Live National Comedy,
we frequently offer special Advance Screenings
and special event access to online newsletter subscribers.
And it gets better. The Drafthouse is one of the best entertainment values
around. First-Run Films (released
in week one) will be at competitive pricing in the $8.50 to $9 range,
while some films will be held over for special discount film offerings like
$1 Monday Movie Specials and
special weekly movies priced at below $6 a ticket. Live
Entertainment is always a value with quality
national entertainment priced competitively low as well. In addition, our
restaurant menu and bar menu pricing is in line with area restaurants – simply
put, unlike other entertainment venues, we offer surprisingly reasonable
prices. We don’t have food or drink minimums; we want you to order to your
comfort level. For the price of soda, popcorn and candy at other theaters, you
can get a quality entrée or sandwich platter and adult beverage of choice –
with money to spare.

live entertainment experience. Because we serve alcohol on premise we take our
responsibility very seriously. Therefore we cater our entertainment experiences
to Adults and Families. Our admission policy is 21 or over unless accompanied
by parent or guardian. This is to insure that underage persons are accompanied
by a responsible adult throughout their visit.

Latest Updates:
July 2008: We have started to book comedians, family entertainers and special movie festival events. Stay tuned for details. We are getting closer and expect to be able to open in September of 2008. The Grand Opening month is still scheduled for October 2008, however we will start showcasing films and sporting events in September.
June 2008: Progress is coming along. We have settled in on a tasteful old art-deco design for the marquee and demolition will begin soon. Click here for the details of the new marquee. The entire theater is being refurbished and the new floors, walls, ceilings, chairs, tables and lounge is going to look great! We are going to start interviews for new staff in August with a targeted Grand Opening in October and a soft opening in Septemeber. Please help spread the word.
