After winning the 2012 national Miller Lite Stand Up comedy competition judged by Kevin Hart, comedian/writer LaVar Walker joined The Shaquille O’Neal All Star Comedy Jam, touring 42 markets and taping a Showtime special as well. In addition to this, he was a finalist for the NBC Diversity Showcase and advanced to the semifinals in NBC’s Last Comic Standing. His other credits include BET’s Comicview, The Mo’Nique Show, and Kevin Hart’s comedy special on the Laugh Out Loud network.

On the scripted front, he produced/ played the lead in the comedy project, The Pharmacist, and can recently be seen as ‘Marty the Manager’ in the Summit Entertainment Feature Film, Uncle Drew.

Lavar Walker is a comedian and actor known for his high-energy performances and irreverent sense of humor. He first gained widespread recognition with his viral stand-up comedy videos, which quickly gained millions of views on social media. 

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Lavar always had a knack for making people laugh. He started performing stand-up comedy in local clubs and bars, eventually making his way onto the national comedy circuit. 

In addition to stand-up, Lavar has also appeared on numerous television shows and movies, including guest appearances on popular sitcoms and comedy sketches. He is known for his ability to improvise and bring his unique perspective to any role. 

Lavar is also a prolific writer and producer, and has written and starred in his own comedy specials for major networks. He has toured internationally, performing in front of sold-out crowds in cities around the world. 

Aside from his career in comedy, Lavar is also involved in numerous charitable organizations and is an advocate for mental health awareness. He continues to tour and perform stand-up comedy, bringing laughter and joy to audiences everywhere.
