After appearing on hit Mexican telenovelas: "Teresa", "La Que No Podia Amar" and "Por Siempre Mi Amor", Elena moved to United States and pursued stand up comedy. She is one of the premiere Spanish speaking stand up comedians in the country. She tours with her own show throughout the United States along with opening for comedians like Sofia Niño de Rivera, Carlos Ballarta and Angelo Colina. Elena's comedy has been featured in the Washington Post and Telemundo. So she took the next logical artistic step from doing melodrama in Spanish; she started performing stand up comedy in English. She threw out her telenovela push up bra, moved to the East Coast and has performed in venues all over the country like: DC Improv, Arlington Drafthouse, Carolines, Big Hunt, Broadway Comedy Club and many more. She also hosts the Arlington Drafthouse podcast 'CounterCurrents" and has a sketch page called Human Factor Comedy.
